Transportation

Upper Dublin School District provides transportation services to all students residing in Upper Dublin that attend public and private schools within ten (10) miles of our district boundaries.  The students of Upper Dublin that are eligible for these services must live outside of the following distances:

  • one (1) mile grades K through 5

  • one and a half (1.5) miles grades 6 through 8

  • two (2) miles grades 9 through 12

Students eligible for transportation services may be required to walk up to the appropriate distances above to their assigned bus stop.

Please note: At this time Upper Dublin School District is not allowing students to ride on any bus other than the one that they are assigned by the transportation department.

We are highlighting the 2023-24 Driver of the year, MIKE LESNIAK!

Mike has been a driver here for nearly 20 years. In that time he has been a tireless advocate for all of our students, which paired with his unwavering dedication to safety and reliability, makes this milestone fitting for him. This past year he not only achieved perfect attendance, but went the entire year without a preventable accident, which speaks volumes about his meticulous attention to detail and profound sense of responsibility. His compassion and understanding have made a profound impact on the lives of the students and families that he serves, providing them with a sense of security and care that goes beyond the call of duty. This is a second career for Mr. Lesniak who retired from a career with the U.S. Postal Service after completing his service in the U.S. Military, all of which we are immensely grateful for.

School Bus Safety is very important and there are two good videos that highlight safety tips.  Mrs. Place showed this video to the students during her time at Jarrettown Elementary School.  Additionally, here is another video that I think shows the importance of School Bus Safety
