Mental Health Resources

At Upper Dublin School District, we understand that mental health plays a critical role in a student’s overall well-being and academic success. We are committed to supporting students by providing resources and counseling services and to helping them navigate challenges that may impact their potential. This page offers information on mental health resources available within our schools, as well as external services for those who may need additional supports.

In the event of an emergency, please dial 911.

Internal Resources

For elementary students (grades K-5), the first step for families concerned with their child's mental health is to contact the school counselor.

For secondary students (grades 6-12), families may contact our school counselors or choose to explore our Student Assistance Program (SAP) referral program. More information about SAP and the referral forms are available immediately below.

Student Assistance Program (SRMS/UDHS)

The Pennsylvania Student Assistance Program (SAP) is a systematic team process used to mobilize school resources to remove barriers to learning. SAP is designed to assist in identifying issues including alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, and mental health issues which pose a barrier to a student’s success.

The primary goal of the Student Assistance Program is to help students overcome these barriers so that they may achieve, advance, and remain in school. While Student Assistance Programs exist in other areas of the country, the structure and operation of the program in Pennsylvania is a unique expression of an integrated model serving the needs of Pennsylvania families and students.
