Ms. Jennifer Nuskey, Principal

Ms. Nuskey joined Sandy Run Middle School as a house principal in March of 2023.  Ms. Nuskey began her professional career in 2007 in The School District of Philadelphia as an 8th Grade ELA teacher.  After ten years in the classroom, Ms. Nuskey transitioned into an Assistant Principal role in 2018 at Baldi Middle School in The School District of Philadelphia where she found success building relationships with students through her work in culturally responsive school leadership coursework, along with launching an instructional coaching model to support academic achievement through coaching teachers.  Ms. Nuskey is a proud graduate of Temple University and Cabrini College.  Outside of school, Ms. Nuskey enjoys going to Disney with her husband and daughter, going to Phillies games, and spending time outdoors.  

Mr. Steve Pickford, House Principal and Athletic/Activities Director

Mr. Pickford grew up in Warminster, PA and attended Archbishop Wood High School. He then matriculated at Temple University and graduated with a certification in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. Mr. Pickford taught 3rd and 4th grade at Jarrettown , Maple Glen, and Thomas Fitzwater Elementary Schools from 1997-2003. He became the Assistant Principal and Activities/Athletic Director at SRMS in 2003, where he has been ever since.  Steve enjoys outdoor activities such as biking, pickleball, and spending time with his family and friends at the Jersey Shore.
